Playful Whims is a lighthearted, kinetic piece that captures the essence of spontaneity, curiosity, and the playful experimentation that is at the heart of Play Everyday. Drawing inspiration from my time abroad in Lacoste, France, this piece reflects the creative growth that arose from working with limited tools and materials in a new and unfamiliar environment. However, this challenge invited me to see material differently, allowing me to embrace improvisation and fully lean into intuitive play. Suspended elements crafted from found, recycled, and hand-altered materials move delicately through space, inviting viewers to reimagine objects through a lens of color, texture and care.Playful Whims celebrates the whimsy of experimentation and the unexpected beauty that can arise when process, place, and personal experience come together in motion.
