Gone Coastal is a print collection that captures the gentle vibrancy of a seaside summer, evoking the serene, yet lighthearted atmosphere of a summer day by the beach. Using watercolor illustrations of fish, seashells, and nods to beach umbrellas, the prints are rich in texture and layered color, inviting the viewer to a space that feels both immersive and nostalgic. The designs, digitally mapped onto bathing suits and towels, transform everyday coastal essentials into a playful escape. While not directly tied to the Play Everyday thesis, Gone Coastal shares its emphasis on the emotional power of color and texture. Through this work, I explore how layering and materiality can convey both the joy and the tranquility found in nature’s simplest moments, inviting the viewer to indulge in a sensory memory of a warm, carefree day by the sea.
